Our story starts with our ‘nono’, a term affectionately used for ‘grandfather’ in both the Italian language and Zakynthian dialect. As a young boy of just 12, he and his father lovingly cultivated the ‘Avgoustiatis’ grape, a variety known for its vibrant dark red hue and fruity bouquet, in their modest vineyard. This endeavor was not for commerce, but for the simple joy of creating a wine to be savored by family and close friends.
Years passed, and at the age of 19, now with a family of his own, our nono embarked on a new journey. With the help of his son, our father, they planted olive trees in their fields. This was more than an agricultural venture; it was a commitment to provide their family with the finest olive oil. This same olive oil, harvested with care and tradition, graces our tables even today.
